After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fort Lewis College, Doug started his real estate career in 1999 by passing the Colorado Real Estate exam and started working for Re/Max Alliance selling homes. In 2001 he joined the family business, Hufford & Co., Inc., where he became the managing broker. He has maintained his Realtor status by keeping his membership current with NAR, CAR and DMAR and he keeps his skills sharp by being an active member of the Independent Broker Group and National Association of Residential Property Managers. Doug has earned the Real Estate designations, GRI- Graduate Realtor Institute and CNE-Certified Negotiation Expert and has provided expert witness court testimonies for rental market valuation. In his spare time he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his wife and two young boys.
Barrie Hufford grew up in Massachusetts before attending Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She competed on the varsity swimming team and received her B.A in Psychology. Shortly after college, she moved out to Colorado for “better weather and gorgeous views”. She has worked as a Personal Trainer for 20 years and is also a USA Level II Triathlon Coach since 2003. Her passion is the Tri for the Cure, a women's triathlon race, benefitting BRIGHT PINK. She has been involved in the organization on many levels and is currently the Head Triathlon Coach, while Hufford & Co., Inc. is one of the supporting sponsors of the event. Barrie decided to join the family business in 2016 and has been involved with the Real Estate Sales of the company. She is a certified Realtor with memberships in NAR, CAR, and DMAR. Her strengths include great attention to detail and perfection, personalized customer service and recognizes the importance of buying and/or selling one of the biggest transactions of one's life.
Stephanie was raised in Colorado Springs and lived there until moving to Idaho for college. She graduated Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science; she also is completing an associate's degree in Paralegal Studies with emphasis on contract, business, and real estate law. Stephanie worked in property management while attending college, managing an apartment complex. After college she moved to Denver and managed a condominium HOA until accepting a position as the bookkeeper at Hufford & Co., Inc. While here she has been an integral part of updating computer and accounting systems, websites, and branching the company into the world of social networking. Stephanie is a licensed Real Estate broker and works in both sales and property management in our office, as well as continuing her day-to-day bookkeeping duties.
